Luckiest Girl Alive Review | Decent Mystery 2022

Luckiest Girl Alive Review

Luckiest Girl Alive is a mystery thriller film, which was released on Netflix on September 30, 2022, and directed by Mike Barker.

The story is of Ani, who lives in New York and in whose life everything is going perfectly. In this perfect life, twists and turns start coming at the time when some dark secrets of Ani’s past life start coming out. And to know what those dark secrets are, you have to watch this film.

First of all, the story of this film is based on the 2015 Luckiest Girl Alive novel, which I have not read, and I cannot tell you how well the material of that novel has been followed in this film.

I will share only the experience that I have had watching this film, and according to me, it’s a decent, once-watchable film.

Luckiest Girl Alive Review

Sensitive issues have been highlighted here, such as issues like gun violence, rape, or bullying happening in school, and a message this film tries to give us has been explained, and personally, I like that message.

Ani is a very strong character, although it is not likable, and you will definitely feel cared for when you see things related to its past life unfold.

Negative Points

As I said, some sensitive issues have been highlighted in this film, but the problem was that they were not developed well and were shown in a fast-paced or surface level manner.

Ani’s character was also not developed as well as it needed to be in this film, so the message of this film could not make the impact that it should have.

Conclusion

It’s a decent mystery thriller film that you can watch as a time pass; you don’t watch this movie with your family because of adult scenes.
