Smile 2022 Review | Psychological Horror

Smile 2022 Review

I have just seen a psychological horror movie called Smile, the first fifteen minutes of which are enough to shock you and keep you hooked on the story.

The pacing of this film is fast, which quickly comes to its main focus, without losing time.

The most important thing in a horror film is “horror”, in which this film is exciting and I felt there is a newness in its horror aspect.

This film focuses more on drama, and as I said, its pacing was fast, due to which the horror scenes do not feel as much as they should have.

Smile 2022 Movie Review

BGM is good, even where there is no horror, it goes on in such a way that you get scared. There has also been an effort to frighten people using sound.

The story is Dr. Rose Cotter, whose patient brutally kills herself in front of him, after which some strange changes start coming in Rose’s life, she feels someone around her all the time, who keeps on laughing.

So it will interesting to see whether Rose will be able to get out of this trouble or go back to her normal life.

smile 2022 review

If I define this movie in a few words then it’s an average little bit boring horror thriller.

If you have seen a horror thriller film named It Follows, then you will find the same concept in it.

This film is especially made for new audience, who have not done any exploration in horror psychological genre, maybe such audience get engaged with its story.

Amazon Smile

It is not that this film is bad in every aspect, but yes at some places it works to bore.

Camera work is very good, in this department it seems to shine completely, seeing different types of shots, you will feel the atmosphere of thrill or tension.

Every fifteen to twenty minutes something happen in the story one by one to scare the viewers.

Character development I felt weak, so I do not comment on it.

Conclusion

In case if you want to watch a dark slow paced psychological horror thriller picture, then you can watch this movie one time by keeping your expectations low.
