Amazon Prime | The Lord of the Rings 2022 Review

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of power is a big-budget series on Amazon Prime whose finale episode has been released now.

Finally, I have seen this series completed and now I will tell through this review whatever my overall opinion is after watching this series.

To be honest, I was not enjoying anything special after experiencing the first 2 episodes of this series but I kept watching it and now that I have watched this show completely, I have mixed type of feelings.

While I have liked a lot in this series, there is also a lot that I did not like.

The Lord of the Rings 2022 Review

First of all, this show is no doubt outstanding in its technical aspect. I am pretty sure you will get lost in the world shown in this series.

The 6,7 or 8 episodes are quite interesting or engaging as compared to the initial five episodes, after episode 6 the interest in the story starts to develop.

And in the last three episodes, you will also get to see good action and some twists and turns. Especially in episode 8, good twists are present.

The point at which episode 8 ends, and then the direction in which the story is going from there, after you would like to see season 2 of this show as well. 

Elrond or Durin Both these characters are likable and I have liked them a lot. I enjoyed their relationship, their conversation, and I am sure you will love it too and I also liked the story arc of both these characters. 

Apart from this, I also liked the story arc of Harfoots. The mystery in the story arc of Harfoots is related to such a person who falls from the sky to the ground. This mystery will keep you engaged.

The rest of Halbrand’s character was also good, and Galadriel is a very strong character, and I liked it as a character but the actress who played Galadriel’s performance was a bit lackluster.

This series does not show much action but whatever it has shown is good.

Weak Points

The storytelling style that the creators of this series have tried is weak, from the very beginning we are introduced to a lot of stories and then all those story-lines seem to be running simultaneously, due to which you will not be able to invest in any story.

And being slow, this series is also going to bore you in the middle.

If you have patiently watched at least 4 episodes of this series, then from episode 5 onward you will enjoy this series a lot. Because of storytelling, I don’t think you will be able to emotionally connect with a characters. 

Conclusion

Well despite having some issues, this series is decent in my opinion, and a season 2 will also come in the future which could be even better.

At present, the story of this show is not smartly written but there is potential in this show that it can become a great show in the future.
